Storage heaters from Joven, Rheem, Alpha, Ariston, Panasonic and Toshiba; instant heaters from Joven, Alpha, Centon, Panasonic; and most Malaysian-market in-line gas water heaters.

Common visits, in order of frequency

• Annual storage-heater service — flush sediment, inspect anode rod, test T&P relief valve, re-check inlet isolation valve.
• Instant-heater no-hot-water diagnosis — usually a clogged inlet filter, faulty pressure switch, or burnt element.
• Leaking heater — locate source: T&P valve discharge (normal under thermal expansion), drain cock seal, inlet fittings, or tank breach (replacement only).
• Full replacement — remove old unit, install new isolation ball valves both inlet and outlet, fit T&P valve with drip tray, and test pressure.
• Pump pairing — instant heaters that strain on low building pressure can be paired with an inline booster; we will spec what works.

The most common “heater failure” we are called for turns out to be a tripped earth-leakage breaker. We always check the panel before we touch the unit.

Why isolation valves matter

If your heater is plumbed without ball-valve isolation, the next leak forces you to shut the whole house. Every replacement we install includes inlet and outlet ball valves and a clear label so the next plumber (or next homeowner) knows what to shut.

How we quote heaters

For a service: a flat hourly quote. For a replacement: unit price (your choice from a short-list we recommend), fittings, and labour as a single line you sign before we order parts.
